Moving On
October 8th, 2006
After four great years in the BVI it is time to move on and try some other ventures. Although we love living here it is becoming increasingly difficult to live here long-term if you are not already a resident, a citizen, or have a lot of money. When we came four years ago it was with the intent that the BVI would become our home but after being denied a trade license four or five times (because we are not from here) we have decided that it is in our best interest to move on.
Last year we saw a great Guest House in Puerto Rico and we are going to make a bid to purchase it, as we have always wanted to be our own bosses. We like the idea of the Guest House because it would also allow us to undertake other work (e.g. teaching, GIS consulting, etc) as well while generating a small income.

This is the current view out of our window looking towards Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands.
